80′ Elco PT Boat: K1005 - Premium Model Ship Kit

The Elco PT Boat, also known as the Patrol Torpedo Boat, was a revolutionary naval vessel that played a crucial role during World War II. These boats were designed and manufactured by the Elco Naval Division of the Electric Boat Company, specifically for the US Navy. The PT boats were small, fast, and highly maneuverable, making them ideal for coastal operations and hit-and-run attacks.

Our model ship kit, designed by author and model builder, Dr. Al Ross, portrays a typical 1942 80′ Elco PT Boat. Because of the large number of very small parts and the delicate detailing required, this kit is recommended for intermediate to advanced builders.
